No account, no tracking of where you are. The “Near me” button asks your browser for your position once, sorts the lakes by distance inside your browser and forgets it. Your location is never sent to our server.
No cookies. The site does not set cookies and does not use analytics or advertising trackers.
Contact form. If you write to us, we keep your message and, if you give it, your email address only to reply and fix the data. We do not share it.
Server logs. Our host and our content delivery network (Cloudflare) keep standard access logs for security for a short time.
Data on this site. Lake levels come from public agencies (TWDB, USGS, the US Army Corps of Engineers, NOAA and the National Weather Service). See Sources.
